Actor Vikram is busy with his shoot for Anniyan, which is almost nearing completion.

Happy working with director Shankar, Vikram says, "we have taken time to give our best in the movie. When the movie gets released next April, people will recognize our hard work and the valuable time taken by us to complete the venture".

Vikram adds: "Movies like Anniyan, Pithamagan require more time, where as an commercial entertainer like Saamy or Arul can be completed in one-go".

The thing about Vikram is that he is a wonderful and patient learner.

So having worked with various directors, he has understood the nuances of filmmaking.

So it is no surprise when Vikram says, "I will certainly direct a movie in the coming years. I will put all my thoughts in the film."

With him at the helm, who will be the hero?

"Certainly it would not star me in the lead role. A favourite hero of mine would play the hero in the movie."

Looking back on his career, Vikram says "though I made my debut about 13 years ago, only after Sethu I made it big in Kollywood. I was into dubbing for some time. I have lent voice for many actors including Abbas, Vineeth and Prabhu Deva. This helped me to get the modulation right when I did movies like Kasi, Dhil and Samy".

So what's his advice to budding heroes? "My patience paid rich dividends. Hard work would never go waste would be my message to one and all."

Once Anniyan gets released, Vikram would go one step up in the ladder.
