When asked about Nagarjuna's remark that he felt jealous about Karthi because he didn't get to dance with her, Tamannah joked that she hopes to dance with Nag in Oopiri-2. She immediately said that no sequel is on the cards and that she only said it in a light-veined fashion.

Oopiri has Tamannah playing Keerthi, a caretaker to Nag, who plays a billionaire in this human drama. "Vamshi Paidipally told me that if my look is bang on, half the work is done. He wanted me to wear tight clothes, look well-dressed, and dignified. My character comes with lots of changes. In the French original, there are two characters. My character is a combination of them both. I have dubbed for my character in Telugu but not in Tamil. I felt that I should dub for this character because everything about the film is so organic. I didn't dub in Tamil because, for now, I wanted to focus on one language only", said Tamannah.
