After scoring success with 'Yevadu' earlier this year, Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is set to entertain the audiences with the family entertainer, 'Govindudu Andarivadele'. This film, directed by Krishna Vamsi, will be released on Oct 1st worldwide and on this occasion, we caught up with Charan for an interview.

Excerpts from the interview

Defines the character

The title 'Govindudu Andarivadele' defines my character in the film and tells that how friendly he moves with everyone. My character name is not Govindudu, it is Abhiram.

Very impressed

Actually I was supposed to work with Krishna Vamsi after 'Magadheera'. But it happened now. When I was looking for a proper family entertainer, though many directors have narrated stories to me, I didn't like them. I don't like family stories forcefully mixed with commercial elements. But I was very impressed with the story narrated by Krishna Vamsi.

I don't run after them

I don't run after successful directors. I give importance to the content of the film. Krishna Vamsi is a very good director. His recent films may have failed at the box-office, but he didn't fail as a director. His main strength is handling family emotions and he has done a great job for this film.

Very emotional

'Govindudu Andarivadele' will be a very fresh family entertainer and is very different when compared to the commercial films coming in the recent past. The last half and hour of the film will be very emotional. Not only family elements, the film has all the elements that satisfy our fans, especially the youth.

They enhanced the script

Though the story and 80% of the screenplay is Krishna Vamsi's, Paruchuri brothers made some corrections and have given some very impactful dialogues. They enhanced the script with their rich experience.

Didn't get connected to him

This is my fourth film with Kajal Aggarwal. She looks very different in this movie. She has done a wonderful job. Though Raj Kiran acted well, we didn't get connected to him well in some scenes. So he was replaced with Prakash Raj. The film has a very good feel and with Prakash Raj's inclusion it became even more interesting.

Inspired by it

I like Krishna Vamsi's films like 'Chandamama', 'Murari', 'Ninne Pelladatha' etc. Our film is not at all related to them. It is special. I agree that GAV is inspired by 'Seetharamiah Gari Manavaralu'. But both the films are very different from each other.

He involves only in them

My father involves only when deciding the director and when hearing the stories. He also decides if the story is apt for me or not, as he has a lot of experience. He doesn't involve in every aspect of the film.

Ready to work with him

I will definitely work with Sreenu Vaitla, if I like the story. The project may start by the end of this year. Regarding Koratala Siva's project, I did Puja forcefully as I'd taken advance from Bandla Ganesh. Though I said Ganesh that the story is not yet finalized, he made me do the Puja. But I felt that the story will not work out and opted out of it. But I am ready to work with Koratala in the future.

It is everybody's wish

It is everybody's wish to work with Mani Ratnam. But I felt that even the story he narrated will not work out here. I heard he is making the film with Mammootty's son now with that story.

I'll break that sentiment

I don't know about the 8th film sentiment. But I heard someone saying that the 8th film of many heroes has failed at the box-office.I assure that I will break that sentiment with 'Govindudu Andarivadele'.

Will work with Gautham Menon

I liked the story narrated by Kona Venkat and Gopimohan. We will decide the director soon and it will be started next year. I will also act in a direct Tamil film soon. I have plans of acting in the direction of Gautam Menon next year in a direct Tamil film.

Not at all interested

I entered the Airline business accidentally and I am not at all interested in it. My wife Upasana will take care of it.

Will announce soon

Regarding my dad's 150th film, we have locked two to three subjects and are working on it. We have not yet finalized the director. Complete details will be announced soon.

Ram Charan concluded by saying that the film will be a very good family entertainer, which will be loved by everyone. He requested everyone to watch the movie in theatres on Oct 1st.
