Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer historical drama 'Prithviraj' which is just a week away from its release. Judging by the promotional material, it is clear that Manushi is going to deliver a bold and power packed performance as princess Sanyogita. However, few years back she could not have imagined herself as an actress.
In a recent media interaction, Manushi shared that despite winning the Miss World title, she didn't see a career for herself in the film industry. The actress told PTI, "I never came to Mumbai wanting to become an actor. I had acted in school plays, but all my hobbies-- painting and dance-- were always just hobbies, not a professional outlet. That was my mindset. When I was with Miss World, I got protected exposure, where I got to be in front of the camera for some campaigns."
She further added, "There were a few opportunities which came my way. I could have debuted much earlier than 'Prithviraj', but at that time, I was sure I didn't want to be a part of films, so I didn't even consider them. The timing of 'Prithviraj' was perfect. Also, this is not an opportunity that you choose, the movie chose me."
'Prithviraj' is set to release theatrically on 3rd of June.
