Natural Star Nani struggled a lot before finding his first break with ‘Ashta Chamma’ in 2008. In a chit-chat with Ravi Teja, the ‘Dasara’ actor shared that there was a time when he was exploited to the hilt by people in the industry.
That phase was roughly in the early to mid-2000s when Nani was trying his best to bag small roles in movies. Co-Directors, who have a say in the casting, sometimes capitalize on the passion of aspirants. Nani fell victim when two such technicians used him for their personal gain. “I became their unpaid driver. What is worse, they even extracted my savings. Those were savings that I had been accumulating for an upcoming festival. I used to save money by postponing my shopping requirements,” Nani said.
After repeated failures and because of the exploitative nature of men in the film industry, the ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ actor decide to temporarily give up on his acting dreams.
