Happening comedian Rahul Ramakrishna, who was most recently seen in Allu Arjun's 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', has mustered up the courage to say that he was sexually molested as a child. Taking to Twitter on Monday, the 'Arjun Reddy' actor wrote, "I was raped during childhood. I don’t know what else to say about my grief, except for this, because this is what I seek to know about myself. Everything hurts."
By outing his ordeal, Rahul has shown the way for others, many on social media have felt. A few of his followers have empathized with his pain. One Sarada tweeted out, "Hugs and more power to you, Rahul. This revelation is painful, glad that you chose to do it regardless. Kudos! This will help some of the children to speak up and the parents to be more involved in their child’s life. How can we protect the street kids?"
A user named Ishwar Chandra wrote, "I think there are empty voids in life. Treat the experience like a black hole. Do not give undue importance. Yes, it is painful. Yes, it is atrocious. But it says more about the other person involved. It doesn't make you a victim. You're a warrior with a scar. Never give up."
As a mini-celeb, Rahul has definitely done his bit toward the cause of a harassment-free society. Sarah Priya said, "Back in those days, it was so difficult to open up even to our parents. I hope our future generation doesn't have to go through the trauma we've faced and openly call out the harassment without giving away to the predator!"
