Recently, it was reported by sections of media that starlet Gayathri Raghuram was detained by police and was charged for drunken driving in Tamil Nadu's Perumbur. The popular actress-dance choreographer and 'Bigg Boss-Tamil' contestant has slammed the reports claiming them to be false and has posted her side of what exactly happened.

"The one who created this fake news was a press reporter who was caught drunk and driving. I finished my shoot and was dropping my co-star at home. I was stopped for normal checking. No such incident of fighting with a cop happened. Traffic police came with me to check license and other documents. I, in fact, appreciated their work and there was no quarrel as he spoke about my father and he was, in fact, a fan of me and even sought a selfie. I drove the car away," Gayatri says.

"If I was drunk, they wouldn’t have let me drive my car again. Stop cooking up stories. There was no speeding or anything full of lies. Unfortunate not to know the reporter’s name who was caught," she said.
