Dhanush’s heroine reveals she was the first choice for 96!

Malayalam actress Manju Warrier who has acted in a lot of Malayalam hit movies had recently made her debut in Tamil with Asuran directed by Vetrimaran, and the movie which is based on the novel Vekkai by Poomani has received great reviews and is running successfully.

In a recent interview, Manju Warrier had said that there were plans to act in Tamil earlier, but none of them worked out, and it was Dhanush who got her into Asuran. Besides, she revealed that she was the first choice to play the lead role in the romantic hit movie 96.

Manju Warrier revealed that 96 director Premkumar wanted to cast her but could not approach her, and went ahead to cast Trisha, and Manju praised Trisha’s performance, saying that nobody else could have played it better. Asuran had Manju Warrier playing the female lead Pachaiyamma, paired with Dhanush and playing mother of three children.
