In a recent interview to a Malayalam magazine, dancer Methil Devika, wife of actor and MLA Mukesh, said that she was initially disappointed when Mukesh stepped into politics. Methil also revealed that she never wanted to marry a politician.

Devika said, "I felt a bit sad in the beginning when Mukesh came into politics. I thought then why did we marry. I was never interested in marrying a politician. That was not my agenda. The biggest thing for me is to be together in married life. But now I realize that being a people’s representative is a bigger thing than being a husband."

Actor Mukesh’s second marriage with danseuse Methil Devika was celebrated by the media with great enthusiasm. The lovely couple often makes public appearances and is always seen in full of love.
