On the eve of the World Disability Day on December 3, an awareness rally was held at Hyderabad's People's Plaza, Necklace Road, on Saturday. The morning walk saw the participation of the Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Ali, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, hero Rajasekhar, yesteryear actress Jeevitha, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajasekhar gave an inspiring speech. "I too was handicapped at one stage in my life. I was a stammerer. People used to make fun of me. I would find it difficult to even pronounce my father's name. With perseverance, I became a doctor.

I then became an actor. We should treat everybody equally. The disabled should never feel let down. With determination, they can do anything. I would like to do my bit for the sake of the differently-abled," the 'Garuda Vega' actor said.
