Earlier in the day, Kamal Hassan echoed the views of millions of Indians on Twitter. What he wrote should prick the conscience of every right-thinking Indian.

He began with tweeting that, "I will find out in a few days if this is a secular country. I need a secular place to settle. If there's no secular place in India I would go overseas. My passport will change." This is unprecedented that a person of his standing has been harassed like this in recent times.

He also said, "I wonder how can one movie endanger the unity of our entire nation."
