Former Miss India finalist Deeksha Seth who debuted with critically acclaimed 'Vedam' this year is escatic about her next. She will be seen with Raviteja in a romcom 'Mirapakay'. The actress whom critics call a mere glam doll says she has evolved as an actor from her previous film. Her expressions were ridiculed as out of place in her debut movie, thanks to her lack of understanding Telugu. Deeksha says she is working towards learning Telugu now.

"When I got into acting, someone told me that no one is a born actor and everyone is a born student.Everyone evolves and learning is a part of life.I have improved as an actor in this film 'Mirapakay'. When I watch 'Vedam' now, I feel I could have done better and I think every actor feels the same when they watch their previous films. The language plays a big factor. I bought a self help book to learn Telugu and asked all my staff to talk to me in the language to be able to do pick it up fast. I can understand Telugu now. I am confident of dubbing for myself in the next seven months. I know Hindi,English, Punjabi, Nepali, Bengali. French et al and I have always picked up language wherever I went. Learning Telugu shouldn't be a problem." says the actress.

She is currently doing 'Wanted' with Gopichand in the lead which will also be in the theatres in the next few weeks. Deeksha will have Mirapakaya and Wanted in theatres at the same time. How does she feel competing with her own films at the box office?

"I am happy that both are releasing at the same time. I am playing different roles in these films and there is no repeatation. In Wanted I play a village girl for which I had to grow my hair. I was brought up in metro cities and playing a village girl was challenging for me. In Mirapakaya I play an arrogant, stubborn girl which is again not me. I never lose my temper and seeing myself in roles that are so different from myself is fun.Audience will get to see me in different shades at the same time in theatres which is good for me as an actress"

Deeksha had to share screen space with Anushka, Lekha Washington and Seiya Gautam in her debut. In her upcoming film she will be seen with Richa Gangopadhyay. While most debutants are vary of sharing screen space with other starlets at the early stages of their career, Seth considers it an oppurtunity to learn and compete.

"Audience will like me if I do well in the film irrespective of how many stars are there on screen. There were so many stars in Mirapakaya and Vedam and I consider it an honour to share screen space with them. I am not insecure at all.I take it positively and as an oppurtunity to learn so much from such senior actors." she quips diplomatically.

20 year old starlet who is leaving no stone unturned to market herself and is busy opening malls and stores says acting was not a natural choice for her post her stint as model. She reveals that she will not take up any role she feels she doesn't suit to.

"My entry into films was absolutely accidental.I never planned to be an actress. I am still in college doing my B.com from Mumbai. I work 15 hours a day, go back home and study like a normal college kid. I write my assignments on marketing, research et al. Once in a month, I go to Mumbai and submit my assignments. I have a special permission from my college to do this. I never did my dancing and acting courses. Acting just came my way. I am ready to explore new roles but I will turn down any offer I feel I can't do or some one else better suits it." she says.

This one movie old damsel who talks with a confidence of a senior actress takes her new found stardom with a pinch of salt. She feels stardom is all in the head and just a perception,

"Now people recognise me and I realise that people know me now because I acted in a film.If I met an actor, I would have walked upto them and appreciated their work. People identifying me is natural now that I am an actress and I don't find it strange. I take it as a compliment that someone is appreciating my work.At the end of my career, I want to be remembered for doing films that are versatile. I want to do something people feel scared of trying and want to show the Indian woman in a different way" she concludes.
