During his ongoing Nellore visit, Pawan Kalyan took the opportunity to meet his school teachers and take their blessings. He touched their feet reverentially and interacted with them at length. Some of his childhood friends arranged the meet in association with the Jana Sena cadre.
Speaking on the occasion, Power Star got nostalgic. "People think that I have taken interest in politics only after becoming an actor. If you ask my childhood friends, they will tell you that I was inspired by the patriotic songs that used to be played in our school campus soon after the school assembly session in the morning," he said.
Pawan recalled how Vijaya Lakshmi teacher beat him. "Sameer, who was sitting beside me, joked about Napoleon Bonaparte. He told me to ask the teacher as to which party Bonaparte belongs. Vijaya Lakshmi teacher took out her anger on me. To this day, I remember those beatings whenever I remember or see her," Pawan said.
"My school, St. Joseph's, a missionary school, made me who I am today. I was not regular to school as I had Bronchitis as a child. But I wouldn't tell my teachers about that," he said.
Pawan took the names of at least half-a-dozen friends during his speech.
