It was on this day (October 7) in 2010 that 'Khaleja' hit the screens. It was the second outing of the Mahesh Babu-Trivikram duo. Since 'Athadu' had acquired a cult status on TV already, expectations from the movie were high. Starring Anushka Shetty as the heroine, the action-comedy had an ensemble cast.
Remembering the film on its 10th anniversary, Mahesh on Wednesday said that it helped reinvent himself as an actor. "Khaleja turns 10!! Reinvented myself as an actor!! Will remain a special one!! All thanks to my good friend and the brilliant Trivikram (sic)," the superstar wrote. He must be referring to how Trivikram let the actor unleash his comic potential.
Mahesh ended the message in an interesting way. "Looking forward to our next... very soon," the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor wrote. Wonder what he is talking about!
Also starring Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil and others, 'Khaleja' had music by Mani Sharma. Yash Bhatt and Sunil Patel were its cinematographers.
