Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday were in Chennai on Saturday to promote 'Liger'. It was a crowd-heavy event.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijay described 'Liger' as a 'Marana Mass' film. "When I listened to the script, I felt that the stammering disability of Liger makes him vulnerable. It was tough when I started shooting. But slowly, it turned out to be one of the most interesting things. I have always received so much love from Tamil Nadu. I shot for 'NOTA' in Tamil by speaking my own lines. I want every film of mine to be released in TN," the 'Arjun Reddy' star said.
"I gave up liquor and alcohol consumption while working on the movie," the 'Geetha Govindam' actor revealed.
Vijay said that he likes Lokesh Kanagaraj, Pa.Ranjith ('Kabali' fame) and Vetrimaaran, the Kollywood directors. The 'Taxiwala' actor expressed a wish to work with the 'Vikram' director. "I hope it will happen," he added.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, 'Liger' hits the screens on Aug 25.
