AP Congress Chief YS Sharmila responded strongly to the rumors about her alleged relationship with actor Prabhas. This is not the first time that she has spoken about the issue; in 2019, she already filed a police complaint against it.

Speaking to the media on Friday, she dismissed the claims outright, saying, “I don’t even know who Prabhas is, nor have I ever met him. It’s disturbing that such baseless rumors are spreading about me and my family.”

She further alleged that the false propaganda originated from sources close to actor-politician Balakrishna. Sharmila shared an entertainment video as evidence of the misinformation campaign and questioned why no investigation had been conducted.

“You’ve been the Chief Minister for five years,” she said, indirectly addressing Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Were you unaware of this? Why wasn’t an inquiry initiated? Is this what governance means?”

Sharmila accused Jagan's social media teams of fueling the rumors to tarnish her reputation. “Your machinery spread the baseless claim of a relationship between me and Prabhas. This is nothing but an attempt to defame me and gain sympathy for yourself by twisting narratives,” she said.
