I make my rules and methods

The marketing tactic of starting a lust line to be handled by one of the leading ladies of the film gave out the message that nothing previously practiced in Bollywood is being considered as far as 'Dev D' is concered.

Going by whatever that has been revealed till now, it seems 'Dev D' has all the ingredients to be called as a product of some great out of the box thinking.

The first among the factors that is responsible for the assumption of it being a sort of experiment was the catchy, vibrant poster designs.

Songs were and will always be part of B-town movies.

But we have been thinking that the era of movies with around 10 songs got outdated long back.

Give that thinking a rest for sometime now.

'Dev D' is coming armed with not 10 but 18 tracks.

The director Anurag Kashyap's idea must be to give the audience a feel of the musical tracks to be just like the other elements in the narrative like dialogue and some particular expressions.

Thinking of the total time that will be consumed by all these songs, it can be ascertained that the director must have thought of utilizing the power of music not as an element to spice up things but to take the story forward.

The protagonist of the film Abhay Deol's disclosure also makes it quite sure that the Hindi film lovers are going to see an entirely different way in which the music has been used.

The actor talking about 'Dev D' said that it is not at all a verbal film but very much heavy with music and if all of his dialogues in the movie is written down, not more than four pages will be needed.

Some people may feel good that their minds are reacting in an entirely refreshing way after listening to the music tracks of the film

For some others it may feel difficult as they struggle to swing to the groove of the different songs in the film.

This happens only occasionally as normally the intention of music directors will be to create songs in such a way that once it is heard people gets hooked.

With 'Dev D' Anurag Kashyap hopes to break his image of a film maker who likes only to make a certain kind of movies. He also wants to make it clear that he is fully capable of coming out with a movie with all with all the elements that make up a mainstream Bollywood film.

The only difference is that he has carried out his plans not by following others but by making his own way.
