Trisha Krishnan has confirmed that there is no truth in the news that she is playing two roles in her forthcoming movie, Nayaki. In fact, all that she is playing is a role with many shades. For Trisha's fans, the good news is that she will be seen in "the most number of comedy scenes in a single film" in Trisha's career. Those on the sets are quite upbeat about her performance. The whole story revolves around her.

Trisha has of late been into doing author-backed or unconventional roles. After Cheekati Rajyam and the recent Kalavathi, she will be seen in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Nayaki. Meanwhile, Kalavathi has not given her much of a high, at least in Telugu.

The film is currently being filed and is directed by Govi (Govardhan Reddy). Complimenting the director's work, the star heroine has said that he is doing a very good job.

Produced by Giridhar (who had been her manager), it is set in the 1980s, it has Sushma Raj, Ganesh Venkatraman, Satyam Rajesh, and Jayaprakash in key roles.
