Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has showered praise on Kerala Chief Minister Pianrayi Vijayan for efficiently tackling the second wave of COVID-19 in the state. The actress took to her social media handle to appreciate the CM for his efforts to purchase 1 crore doses of COVID vaccine from manufactures and that the vaccines will be made available to the citizens free of cost.

The actress shared a screenshot of the CM's tweet that read: “Kerala will purchase 1 crore doses of #COVID19 vaccines from the open market. 70L doses of Covishield and 30L doses of Covaxin will be procured for the next 3 months, May - July, for Rs. 483 crore. Priority for 2nd dose. Our vaccination drive will go ahead, uninterrupted."

Appreciating the same, Aishwarya penned a heartfelt note lauding the CM. “I love you Chief Minister, I have zero political party inclinations but I am in awe of the way you are handling things in our state. Though the trying times are far from over, this gives the much-needed ray of hope,” Aishwarya wrote on her Instagram story. It may be remembered that Aishwarya had also contracted the COVID-19 infection and recovered from it earlier this month.

On the work front, Aishwarya was last in Prithviraj's starrer ‘Brothers’ Day’ in Malayalam. She will be next seen in ‘Kannekkane’, ‘Archana 31 Not Out’ and ‘Kumari’. She also has Tamil and Kannada films in the pipeline such as ‘Jagame Thandhiram’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, and ‘Godse’.
