Vithika Sheru, Varun Sandesh's wife, has told a TV channel that she consumed four sleeping pills as she hadn't been getting sleep for days. "After I returned from the US, I suffered from jet lag. I wasn't getting sleep and so, I decided to consume a pill. As it didn't help, I consumed three more 0.5 mg pills. Due to overdose, I had to be hospitalized. Once the docs washed the stomach, it was all fine," the celeb wife said.

"I was LIVE on Instagram an hour before the incident. When my friends came to know about my hospitalization, they came to see me. I had recovered by then. We had fun time and someone even took my selfie. The pic doing the rounds is from the selfie," Vithika has said.

"I and Sandesh are very happy. Sandesh's is a big family and they were all worried when TV channels started reporting that I had attempted suicide due to marital discord. If I wanted to do something like that, I would have consumed 40 pills, not 4 pills. I urge the media to take the concerned person's confirmation before saying something," the young woman said.
