Even as 'Baahubali-2' has crossed USD 20 million in the US, AR Rahman himself has praised the movie after watching it a few hours ago. Specially mentioning Rajamouli and Keeravani, the Mozart of Madras said he wished that the movie crosses even Rs. 2000 CR mark.

"To Rajamouli garu, Keeravani garu and the whole team of BB2... Just finished watching it in Chennai. I hope it crosses 2000 cr and above at the box office. You guys have opened the flood gates for South Indian cinema to the world and given it a new identity," the Oscar winner said.

Earlier at Cannes Film Festival, ARR had said on Sunday that Rajinikanth's 'Kocchadaiyan' could have been a 'Baahubali'. Adding that there have been attempts to make big with films (like Sekhar Kapoor's 'Paani'), Rahman asserted that everything fell in place for only 'Baahubali'.
