Veteran director Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao has confirmed in a video message that he has tested COVID-19 positive. He is in home isolation and is asymptomatic. The 88-year-old multiple award winner is very cheerful and says that he will get well soon as his symptoms are very mild.
"I have been getting a number of calls from journalists ahead of my birthday later this week. I have to tell one and all that I have tested positive for the virus. I am reading books and have been confined to my room. This is feeling like my hostel days have returned. I am fine and my isolation will end on September 23," Singeetham said.
Cult classics like Balakrishna's 'Aditya 369', 'Apoorva Sagodharargal', 'Michael Madhana Kamarajan', among others, are to his credit.
