Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Ahead of the release of Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, Nara Rohit is calm and composed. In this interview, Nara Rohit talks about the failure of Savitri, RCV, working with the debutante director, and more.
What is the subject of Raja Cheyyi Vesthe?
The audience won't have any thrill if the story line is revealed. What I can say is that, although the story is routine, the screenplay is interesting. It's an action thriller that constantly keeps one guessing. I hope everyone is going to like it.
How is your character like?
Raja Ram is my character's name. I play an asst. director. I felt very thrilled doing it.
What is the title justification?
My character's name is Raja. Moreover, Raja cheyyi vesthe.. is a popular song. That's why the title.
How was it working with a first-time director like Pradeep?
He is technically very strong. He has got lots of clarity. He doesn't compromise until he gets what he wants. He has a very good grip over the diction.
Was it you who came first or was it Tarak Ratna?
It was first Tarak who was cast. It's because of him that this project has got so much hype. If he hadn't done this movie, it wouldn't have come out this well.
Tuntari and Savitri didn't yield the expected result. What's your say?
We got what we had expected in case of Tuntari. The feedback was very positive. As for Savitri, we expected more but didn't get that much, for whatever reason.
What do you think is the reason why Savitri didn't work?
There could be many reasons for a film's failure. I haven't had the time to think about it.
Do you think that you working in too many films is resulting in not-so-good quality movies from you?
If one does just one film per year, it's asked 'Why only one?'. If one does more number of films, the same question is asked. (Laughs). If it's guaranteed that doing just one film in a year will give sure-shot success, I will do just one. I feel that by doing more number of movies, one can indirectly produce employment for many. Coming to quality, my films come with a good quality.
You seem to have slimmed a bit?
Yes, I have come down by 5 kgs. I will further slim down for my film, which will go on the floors in June.
How is Kathalo Rajakumari progressing?
The first schedule is completed. Maestro Ilaiyaraja garu is the music director. He has already recorded 3 of the songs. The second schedule will begin sometime in May.
What more from you?
Jo Achyutananda, Appatlo Okadundevadu, Pandagala Vacchadu.
