Speaking at the pre-release function of 'Gang', Suriya profusely thanked his gang members (cast and crew) and expressed his love for the Telugu audiences.

"I wish all your dreams will come true this year. May this year be wonderful for you. The word gang is very relevant in our lives. We have a gang of our own everywhere - at school, college, workplace, and so on. We thank UV Creations for bringing this film to the Telugu audience. And I especially thank Allu Aravind garu for being instrumental in all this. Equally important to me is Gnanavel Raja," he said.

"Given that there are other releases this season, getting the theatres for screening was not at all easy. In this, Rebel Star Prabhas has helped us (UV Creations is Prabhas's family banner). Power Star too made this possible," Suriya added.

"I have dubbed for this film to show my love for everybody. There is a Tamil scent and please forgive me. I will get better," he said.

Suriya told the audience to watch both 'Gang' and 'Agnyaathavaasi' this Sankranthi. "Both the films have got magical music by Anirudh," he said.
