Tamannah has once again denied reports that she has been demanding Rs one crore as remuneration to act in a film. My salary is decided by market forces and not by me or anyone else, she says.
Normally a films budget is fixed based on the market value of the cast and crew working in it. So producers decide my salary considering these factors and never had I demanded high remuneration from them, she says.
I get what I deserve, the actress says and adds: And I always try to add the best possible value to the movie in which I am acting. Because, a lot of investment is being made to make each and every film.
Tamannah, whose last release is Thillalangadi, is currently gearing up to act in a film starring Karthi Sivakumar, her Paiyaa co-star. He is a very good colleague and its a pleasure to work with him, she says.
