Prasanna, a local BJP leader from Hyderabad's Neredmet, recently shouted at men standing in the queue to buy liquor at a wine shop. She was heart-broken to learn that so many migrant workers were in the queue to get their dose of alcohol.
Why did Prasanna get affected by the men spending their money the way they liked? Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Prasanna said that she was mighty disappointed upon seeing the people she had been feeding for days spend their monies on alcohol. "I had spent Rs 80,000 on their ration, as they said they had no money to buy food. After all this, I spotted them buying liquor," she told the newspaper.
Prasanna's outburst was captured on a mobile phone. The video clip has since got viral. Does she fear consequences? "Let the police book me," she tells the newspaper with a devil-may-care attitude.
