Actor Ranveer Singh will soon be seen playing the role former Indian cricket team skipper Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's upcoming film '83'. To play his part to perfection, Ranveer interacted with Kapil Dev intensively to know him better and to pick up nuances of his personality. Kapil also taught his unique bowling action and his signature shots to the actor.

Recently, during an interaction with news outlet ANI, Kapil was asked how he helped Ranveer Singh for his performance. He replied, "Ranveer is a great actor. I don't think he needs any inputs or any help. He just spent time with me and rest he is smart enough."

The victory of 1983 World Cup is a huge deal for Kapil Dev and he often gets emotional reminiscing those moments. The trailer of '83' also evoked those feelings for the veteran all-rounder. "After watching the trailer I am very emotional, but let's wait for December 24 to see the end product. I can't say anything till it is released," said Kapil.

'83' will release theatrically on 24th of December.
