The 7th Chevrolet Apsara Awards 2012 unfolded recently with glitz and glamour, with the venue studded with stars from both films and television world. While it was a treat to watch popular celebrities taking on the stage with sparkling performances, more excitement set in when the envelopes were opened to reveal the best talents and Award winners for 2012.
Zoya Akhtar and team were on cloud nine when their movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara bagged 6 Apsara trophies Best Screenplay, Best Story, Best Choreography, Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Farhan Akhtar), Best Director and Best Film.
Similarly, Imtiaz Alis Rockstar won 4 awards - Best Lyrics (Irshad Kamil-Naadaan Parindey), Best Music (A.R. Rahman), Best (Male) Singer (Mohit Chauhan-Saada Haq) and finally, Best Actor (Ranbir Kapoor).
On winning the award Ranbir stated, This is my 3rd Apsara Award and actually, I dont feel humbled because I worked really hard for this role, so Im very happy that I got the award for it. I express my deepest gratitude to the Guild for giving me this honour, it is very special to me.
Vidya Balan received the Best Actress award from B-town Badshah Shahrukh Khan for The Dirty Picture.
While Prakash Raj won Best Performance in Negative Role Award for Singham, Deepak Dobriyal bagged the award for Comic Role in Tanu Weds Manu.
