On his 3-day visit in Tamil Nadu, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi took efforts to interact with the locals of several parts of the State. As a part of his campaign, Rahul encouraged the young people to join Congress.

However, he has stated that our ever-young Superstar is also welcome into the party. He said, “He is most welcome to come. We don't put any roadblocks. Our system is open to anybody who wants to enter it. The only barrier we put is the barrier of criminality.” On this note he said that he doesn’t think Rajini is a criminal. “However, we are not reaching out to any particular person,” said Rahul.

The young Gandhi affirmed that when the Congress had started this open system process, Vijay had expressed his interest in understanding their process and they did explain about it to him.

Now when it comes to Rajini and politics, it’s a will-he-or-will-not situation.
