Siddharth and Hansikha's 'Something Something' in the direction of Sunder C, is set to hit the screens on June 14th. On the eve of this, Siddharth has revealed many things about the film, about Brahmanandam's character, his upcoming films in his production, the reason for concentrating more in other languages, his love for music etc in a an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz.

What is the specialty of 'Something Something' ?

There are two specials in this film. First is Brahmanandam sir is doing a full length role after a long time. He is moreover like a hero in this film. The second specialty is, Hansikha looks her career best in this film.

I am playing a character, who is rather shy and doesn't know how to talk with girls or how to love them. Brahmanandam will be seen as 'Premji -The love guru', who gives suggestions to me regarding love and turns me as a lover boy. His character will be the highlight of this film. It is a very cute and feel good film.

Sunder. C is a director who is best known for laugh riot films. How did he change you to his style ?

Actually, I have changed Sunder.C to my style for this movie. He has not made an out and out comedy entertainer. The second half is his film and the first half is mine. The first half is feel good and romantic in my style and in the second half, in some scenes, Brahmanandam takes the movie to the peaks with his comedy. Sunder C is a master at making the audience go to their homes with a smile. Many have been asking when Siddharth will return to his genre of romantic comedy films, and this is that film. This is a film, which I badly needed.

You have done good comedy even in 'Jabardasth'. What is the difference you have shown in this movie ?

I do not make comedy in this movie. The characters around me will make it. I have to give reaction to them and it is when, the comedy generates. I play an innocent guy and if the audience accepts the character in the first 5 to 10 minutes, we will be successful.

You have worked with two different comedians, Santhanam in Tamil and Brahmanandam in Telugu for this movie. What difference have you observed, when watching the output ?

Really these two are very different films to me. I didn't expect this difference. Santhanam is a dialogue based comedian,but Brahmanandam is a reaction based comedian. I have not worked with Santhanam before. So it is a difficult factor for me. But I have worked with Brahmanandam for 4 to 5 films and there is a comfort level working with him. Brahmanandam sir has come up with a surprise element for every scene in the movie.

I really enjoyed working with both of them. But my work with Santhanam is different from my work with Brahmanandam. We have made Brahmanandam to do some interesting things in this film. His character in this movie knows everything and I call him a boss. The second half has got a twist, but I will not reveal it. You will see a total different Brahmanandam in this movie.

Brahmanandam's character will travel with you all through the film. How did the triangular comedy generate among you, Hansika and Brahmanandam ?

The triangular comedy comes in the second half. First half will move around Brahmanandam giving love tips to me and the second half will have triangular comedy. Hansikha has got a very nice character and the director has extracted a very good comedy out of her.

This film is a screenplay based comedy film. Watching the screenplay, I was really shocked. It is such a beautiful screenplay and Sunder C has generated comedy with it.

What is the reason for shooting the movie in Japan ?

In Japan, there is a flower called Sakura, which will be in full blossom for only seven days. Sunder said that no one has shot it before and we have to do it. The flower looks red in color for 7 days and then after, turns to white. Sunder sir needs to shoot that flower in the season, when it looks pink in between turning from red to white and planned the schedule there in that season. Really Japan is a heaven on earth. The audience will certainly feel the thrill I have felt.

Have you experienced any earthquakes there in Japan ?

When we were in Tokyo, an earthquake has come, but it is not a big one. When we are moving there at mountains, we have noticed that there is a news channel dedicated only to earthquakes. They show only about earthquakes 24/7. Some had warned that a big earthquake was about to come, when we were there. But we are lucky that nothing happened.
