The pre-release event of 'Maharshi' was held on Wednesday evening. Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Babu was at his candid best.
The handsome actor began his speech by thanking the chief guest, Venkatesh. He said, "I like Venkatesh garu the most. It's sentimentally believed that the films whose event he attends become big hits. I would always be thankful to Raghavendra Rao garu. It was 'Murari' which proved that I can act and I thank Krishna Vamsi garu for that. 'Okkadu' made me a star. 'Athadu' endeared me to Overseas audience. 'Dookudu' was a turning point. I thank Gunasekahr garu, Trivikram Srinivas garu, and Srinu Vaitla garu on this occasion. And I finally thank Koratala Siva garu for giving me life twice."
Mahesh said that he didn't want to do a film with Vamshi Paidipally in the beginning as he had two films on hand by then. "I thought I will send back Vamshi after listening to the line for 10 minutes. But his 20-minute narration stunned me. He waited for me for two years to come on board," he added.
Mahesh thanked all the technicians, especially Devi Sri Prasad, Ram-Lakshman duo and KU Mohanan. "When it's DSP who is doing the RR, I always relax. I am told he has done an amazing job on this film," he said.
