Television news channels raked up a controversy on Ramcharan's Filmfare press conference in Hyderabad. A few news channels alleged that Charan made remarks against Dasari Narayana Rao.

To a question by a journalist on Dasari's statement that young heroes don't attend film functions, Ramcharan was quoted as saying that 'Dasari's statement is wrong'. Producers like Nattikumar lashed out at Ramcharan for claiming Dasari's statement as wrong. Speaking to TV9, Nattikumar said Ramcharan shouldn't have made that statement against Dasari who is senior to even his dad Chiranjeevi.

However, Charan on Sunday clarified that he never made any remarks against Dasari. He said,

"I respect Dasari garu a lot. I never made such remarks against him. You can check the videos again. I only said that young heroes do attend award ceremonies. A few people are delberatly creating controversy on this" Charan said. Meanwhile, eye witnesses who attended that press conference also say that Charan didn't make any remarks against Dasari.
