Call it an oversight or whatever, Prakash Raj has been misquoted as saying that film actors becoming leaders would be a disaster for the country.

Going by what Prakash Raj has said on Twitter, he never made such a statement. Far from it, here is what he said in Bengaluru on Sunday. "Look how they distort what you say. Clarifying once and for all. This is what I said: Actors should not come into politics only because they are popular as that could be disastrous. They should come with a clear perception of the issues faced by the country, and win the trust of the people. And we shouldn't vote as fans. We should vote as responsible citizens."

At a time when Pawan Kalyan and Kamal Haasan are already in politics, the actor has done the right thing by clarifying his remarks.
