Jagapathibabu and Charmi starrer suspense thriller 'Nagaram Nidrapothunna Vela' has sparked off a controversy with a few fans alleging a young corrupt leader in this film as Y S Jagan. Apparently a few Jagan fans called up the director Nandi Srihari and threatened him of dire consequences.

Nandi Srihari called for a media conference and clarified that the young corrupt leader role in the movie is purely fictional and not hinted at anyone.

"I was in Shiridi taking the darshan of Baba. I got calls from a few people. They asked me why I showed Y S Jagan in this movie. I only depicted the current political scenario in the state. I didnt mean to show Y S Jagan as corrupt. Infact the movie has got nothing to do with Jagan or Congress or anyother party. It is a purely fictional story" Nandi Srihari said.

He also announced that 'Nagaram Nidrapothunna Vela' which released last Friday is doing great business.

"Me, Jagapathi babu and Charmi will go on a success tour soon. Though it is my first film, I liked working on this film. I will announce my next movie soon" director said.

Actress Charmi who played the lead role in this movie released a press statement that 'every Indian must watch Nagaram Nidrapothunna Vela'.
