Vishal surprised everyone with his squint-eye act in Vaadu-Veedu. Did he expect a National Award for the role? Scribes asked him this question in Hyderabad. "I did not do that role expecting any award. I did it for the sake of Bala (director). Although it was not my intention, many did expect that I will win the Award", Vishal quipped.

Speaking about his forthcoming movie Khiladi, he said that the movie went on the floors even before Avan-Ivan, but it had to be shelved owing to some technical issues. "In the movie, I play a playboy-kinda character. My character loves three girls and wants to marry one of them. It mirrors the mindsets and thinking of today’s youngsters."

Khiladi, directed by Thiru, is set to release tomorrow (March 16).

Vishal said that he has a film lined up with Bala. He will act in a sequel to Pandemkodi, to be directed by Linguswamy.
