"What is so important for you? Are you trying to invent a drug for COVID-19? You all went to have an 'uppar' meeting or what?" an angry Vishwak Sen asked in a video clip that came out hours after the '5pm clapping' event during Sunday's Janata Curfew. The usage of the term 'uppar' has offended a section of people. Following some outrage, the 'HIT' actor has apologized for using the word.
"This is not just a medical emergency but a health emergency. When I saw people coming out onto the roads at 5pm, I got furious. In a fit of rage, I used a certain word that has offended a community. I used the word with no bad intention. I only meant well because I want no one to be affected because of the COVID-19 epidemic," the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' and 'Falaknuma Das' actor today said.
The actor's next movie is 'Paagal'.
