Speaking at the pre-release event of 'LIE', Trivikram Srinivas and Sukumar happened to give a glimpse into the types of directors. It all started with the latter's speech, to which the 'Matala Mantrikudu' added a self-referential rejoinder.

"There are two kinds of directors: those who direct in the 'edit room' and those who direct on the sets," Sukumar said.

When it was his turn, Trivikram said that he belonged to a third kind! "Sukumar has talked of two kinds of directors. I am of the third kind: he who thinks I should have made it otherwise after the film's release."
