Jeevitha Rajasekhar on Saturday said that she has been staying away from active politics for personal reasons and that she is ready to contest on a BJP ticket from anywhere if the party wants her to. She made the remarks while participating in the ongoing Bandi Sanjay-led Padayatra in Nalgonda.
The filmmaker and producer said that she is a BJP functionary because she trusts Narendra Modi's leadership completely. She hinted that TRS' rule has led to widespread public dissatisfaction, adding that women are not safe in Telangana.
"As a mother to two female children, I can say that many issues concerning education and employment haven't been taken care of. Telangana is backward on many fronts," Jeevitha said.
"The BJP should win (the next Assembly elections) for people's well-being. Telangana statehood was achieved after years of struggle. And it should not go waste," Jeevitha commented, adding that she will be actively participating in politics from now.
On the occasion, Jeevitha took selfies with her supporters. She also interacted with commoners and learned about their complaints against the KCR government. She also praised Bandi Sanjay's leadership on the occasion.
