Recently, a woman from Miriyalaguda complained to the Panjagutta police in Hyderabad that she was sexually harassed by 140 individuals. On the basis of her complaint, sections of web media and YouTube channels claimed that Pradeep Machiraju, too, was mentioned in the FIR. The prominent TV personality has issued a strong video statement on Thursday in this regard. He said that he will not spare those who have been carrying out propaganda.

"I am pained by the baseless allegations that have been levelled against me in the web media and on YouTube. They have been using my photographs inappropriately. Why doesn't the media verify the background before blowing things out of proportion? How can you make allegations in the name of rendering justice to a victim? Is this the way? The truth will come out one day. But before that, how can you run baseless stories?" an agonized Pradeep asked.

"If I or any of my family members are affected by all this, who is going to be responsible for our trauma? Social media is a wonderful weapon, which has been misused. You are raping me mentally. I will definitely drag everyone who is responsible for this irresponsible trolling and reportage," the famous TV anchor added.

"My focus is only on entertaining people. I have made it to this stage in life without family background. I have always helped people but have never exploited anybody all my life. When I injured my leg in the past, some YouTube channels went to the town saying that my days were numbered. Do you know how much it pains my family members?" he asked, giving an example of how sensationalism operates.
