R Narayana Murthy has lashed out at some YouTube channels for claiming that he has become bankrupt. In their video gossips, the rumour-mongers said that he is too poor to even pay house rent. They added that the artist has been living in a small village to manage his monthly expenses.
"I am not poor. I have earned crores of rupees by making super hit movies. I like the simple lifestyle and am not inclined to enjoy luxuries. That's why I am not living in a bungalow," Murthy said.
He added that he spends thousands of rupees on auto fares every month. "Thinking that I am penniless, my fans have offered to pool funds for my upkeep. I am asking them to not bother about me. I am well off," Murthy said.
The filmmaker, who awaits the release of 'Rythanna', said that the likes of Late Dasari Narayana Rao wanted to gift him flats but he refused. "The YSR government, as well as the KCR government, offered lands to me. I refused," he adde.d
