Prakash is a poet, but according to himself. No one in his friends group of neighbourhood or even his wife Malathy won't admit that Prakash can pen quality poems. But Prakash believes more in himself and his creativity, creating problems to all around him. It is at this juncture that his old time friend Dr. Hariprasad invites him to make a try in literature in the famous city of Calcutta. Praksh immediately accepts the offer and moves on to Calcutta. And while living there as an accountant he meets a peculiar character-Shreeram, who changes the whole life of Prakash.

This is the interesting synopsis of the new movie 'Iam from Calcutta' directed by newcomer Sharon Satheesh. Featuring Munna as Prakash and 'Malarvady' fame Nivinpoly as Sreeram, the movie will be shot entirely in the city of Kolkatta. Dhanya Mary Varghese appear as Malathy in this movie which will also feature Jagathy Sreekumar, Salimkumar, Suraj, Mamukoya and Lakshmi Sharma. The shoot for the movie will start in a couple of weeks.
