The Wednesday night accident on the sets of 'Indian 2' at EVP Studios in Chennai saw the death of three technicians on the spot. The news is that Kamal Haasan, Shankar and Kajal Aggarwal were reportedly sitting under the canopy that was crushed by the crane till 10 seconds before the accident. They literally had a providential escape.
Recounting the experience, Kajal today said that she has no words to describe the heartache over the unexpected and untimely loss of her colleagues. "In so much shock, denial, trauma from the monstrous crane accident last night. All it took was a fraction of a second to stay alive and type this tweet. Just that one moment. Gratitude. So much learning and appreciation for the value of time and life," the star actress added.
Nisha Aggarwal, Kajal's younger sister, said that she is deeply saddened by the mishap. "My sincere heartfelt condolences to the families and close ones of those who parted. The immense grief of their families is unimaginable. Wishing those who are injured, speedy recovery and strength," she tweeted out.
Condolences and prayers are flowing in from celebs across industries. 'Vishwaroopam' actress Pooja Kumar wrote, "I am deeply saddened by the tragic accident on the sets of 'Indian 2'. My deepest sympathies to the families who have lost their loved ones and personally to me #krishna. I worked with you on #vishwaroop and will cherish the memories forever. You have gone too soon."
