'Hyper' Adhi has waded into a controversy after a film critic recently hit out at Pawan Kalyan's "fanatical fans" in an "objectionable" language. Taking umbrage, Adhi made "fun" of the critic on his super-shot comedy show telecast on TV. Following this, the critic lashed out, saying that one shouldn't resort to "body-shaming".

Adhi, for his part, has said that he can't keep silent when Pawan Kalyan is targeted. "I have observed Pawan Kalyan garu from close quarters. My admiration for him has only grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. He fights for injustice and takes up issues that matter. Even as we are talking here about him, Power Star is in London to receive an excellence award in recognition of his contribution to society," Adhi said on a TV show.
