Recently, on the TV show Sridevi Drama Company, a skit featuring popular comedian Hyper Aadi allegedly offended the sentiments of Telanganites over the Batukamma-Gauramma tradition. The comedy skit courted controversy in no time and a police complaint was lodged at Hyderabad's LB Nagar by the representatives of a cultural organization. They issued a statement saying that legal proceedings will not be halted if Aadi doesn't issue an unconditional apology.

Following the row, Aadi took to Facebook and put out a video statement. In the video clip, the well-known 'Jabardasth' comedian said that the show didn't intend to hurt anybody's sentiments. "We have been able to come to this position only because people of all regions have blessed us. We never intend to belittle anyone. I and my entire team tender apology for the skit," Aadi said.
He added that the love and affection of everyone from the Telugu States have made him what he is. "We in the team, regardless of our regional background, are united. We solve our problems together," Aadi said.
With this, the controversy is likely to end. Hyper Aadi has acted in quite a few Telugu movies, such as 'Toli Prema' and 'Aatagadara Shiva'.
