Telangana is seeing a spike in the number of positive cases in COVID-19. The severity is getting worse day by day and keeping this in mind, medical journal Lancet has listed Telangana among the top three states in the country which are most vulnerable to long-term effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

Madhya Pradesh and Bihar have taken the top two positions and Telangana, just below them has taken the third position.

The Study, ‘A vulnerability index for the management of and response to the Covid-19 epidemic in India: an ecological stuff’ shows Sikkim as the least vulnerable with the score of ‘0’ in the rankings. MP, which is most vulnerable, has scored ‘1’ on the overcall scale, while Bihar scores 0.971.

Unfortunately, Telangana has seen a lot of patients dying because they have not found beds in time and they were denied admission, shortage of oxygen and poor infrastructure in government hospitals.
