A case of illegal drug consumption resulting in death has been registered in Hyderabad. The incident took place at a flat in Kokapet.

As per news reports, Rosie, a 23-year-old beauty therapist, is the name of the victim. Police have said that the deceased person had received a parcel of forbidden drugs on the day of her death. She is suspected to have taken an overdose of the drugs and fallen unconscious in her room. By the time her roomie could break open the door, it was too late. The roomie along with another roomie who came in later took Rosie to a nearby hospital. By then, Rosie was dead.

"We are not ruling out suicide. Rosie was associated with a spa in Narsingi," reports said.

Despite the best efforts of the police department to curb the menace of substance abuse, it has not been rooted out completely in Hyderabad.
