Hyd: Traffic police seize thousands of vehicles!

Hyderabad Traffic Police have said that they enforced the curfew in the city (from evening to morning) strictly. Those caught loitering on the roads were dealt with strictly.
"We had put in place 73 check posts in the limits of all 25 Traffic police stations in the city and seized 2,480 vehicles in total. 1,058 two-wheelers, 948 3-wheelers, 429 4-wheelers and 45 other vehicles were seized," the police said.
The police appealed to citizens to restrain themselves and not venture out of their homes if there is no emergency. "In the morning hours only emergency services and essential services will be allowed. If anyone violates the regulations mentioned in related Government Orders, cases will be booked against them. Cases will be booked against violators under Section 188 IPC and their vehicles also will be seized," the police said.
"Our Traffic Control room (040-27852482) and our Helpline (9010203626) will be available 24/7 to respond any emergency. No movement of vehicles will be allowed after 7.00 PM up to 6 AM of next day," a statement from the police says.
