Hyderabad: Three arrested for cloning ATM cards

Praful Kumar Nayak (25), Hemanth Kumar Nayak (28), and, Sujit Kumar Nayak (31), belonging to Odisha, were on Tuesday arrested in Madhapur by the Cyberabad Cybercrime police for defrauding lakhs of rupees by skimming debit cards. The gang members had cloned debit and credit cards while working at restaurants, bars and pubs.
The police have said that they withdrew more than Rs 10 lakh by making cloned cards, resorting to skimming, etc.
After clandestinely extracting customer card data since 2017 or so, the accused would clone cards and draw cash from ATMs. Laptops and other material seized from the accused show that they have customer data of about 150 customers.
