In the month of March, the Hyderabad police seized 80 boxes of gutka that was allegedly being smuggled. Its worth ran into lakhs of rupees. During an interrogation of the suspects, actor-filmmaker Sachin Joshi's name was reportedly mentioned by one of the interrogated persons.
The news is that, on Tuesday, the Hyderabad police detained Sachin on his arrival in Mumbai at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport. After his detention, he was flown to Hyderabad. Sachin was let off after being served a notice.
The police have named him in an FIR under Section 336 (endangering life) and Section 273 (sale of noxious food or drink) of the IPC.
Sachin Joshi, who is also an NRI businessman based in Dubai, debuted in Telugu with the 2002 movie 'Mounamelanoyi'. He has since acted in only a few movies, in Telugu and Hindi.
