Hyderabad metro rail services: Key guidelines issued

The guidelines and standard operation procedures (SOPs) for the resumption of metro rail services in Hyderabad have been issued. Here are the most important details.

From September 7, Corridor 1 (Miyapur to LB Nagar) would be made operational. From Sept 8, Corridor 3 (Nagole to Raidurg) would be made operational. From Sept 9, all the three Corridors would be made operational.

Services from Sept 9: 0700 hrs to 2100 hrs.

Thermal screening will be held to filter out symptomatic people. So, only asymptomatic people can travel. Aarogya Setu app is encouraged (but not mandatory).

Frequency of trains will be five minutes. The frequency will be increased or decreased depending on demand. Crowds will be kept minimal to ensure anti-COVID measures are in place.

Stations in containment zones (Gandhi Hospital, Bharat Nagar, Moosapet, Musheerabad and Yousufguda) will remain closed.

Those arriving without masks will be made to buy masks by metro services.
